Els avenços en imatge mèdica han impulsat la recerca en models i simulacions de la dinàmica 3D del VE . La majoria dels models existents sols consideren l’anatomia externa del VE i no permeten una avaluació de l’acoblament electromecànic . Donat que la mecànica d’un muscle depèn de la orientació de les seves fibres, un model realista hauria d’incloure la disposició espacial de la banda ventricular helicoidal (BVH) .
Proposem desenvolupar un model del VE adaptat a cada pacient que integri, per primer cop, l’anatomia de la banda ventricular, l’anatomia externa del VE i la seva funcionalitat, per a una millor determinació del patró d’activació electromecànica |

| Abstract | An intelligent video surveillance system (IVS) is a camera-based installation able to process in real-time the images coming from the cameras. The aim is to automatically warn about different events of interest at the moment they happen. Daview system of Davantis is a com mercial example of IVS system. The problems addressed by any IVS system, and so Daview, are so challenging that none IVS system is perfect, thus, they need continuous improvement. Accordingly, this project aims to study different approaches in order to outperform current Daview performance, in particular, we bet for improving its classification core. We present an in deep study of the state of the art on IVS systems, as well as on how Daview works. Based on that knowledge, we propose four possibilities for improving Daview classification capabilities: improve existent classifiers; improve existing classifiers combination; create new classifiers and create new classifier-based architectures. Our main contribution has been the incorporation of state-of-the-art feature selection and machine learning techniques for the classification tasks, a viewpoint not fully addressed in current Daview system. After a comprehensive quantitative evaluation we will see how one of our proposals clearly outperforms the overall performance of current Daview system. In particular the classification core that we finally propose consists in an AdaBoost One-Against-All architecture that uses appearance and motion features that were already present in current Daview system | ||||

| Abstract | The integration of cognitive capabilities in computer vision systems requires both to enable high semantic expressiveness and to deal with high computational costs as large amounts of data are involved in the analysis. This contribution describes a cognitive vision system conceived to automatically provide high-level interpretations of complex real-time situations in outdoor and indoor scenarios, and to eventually maintain communication with casual end users in multiple languages. The main contributions are: (i) the design of an integrative multilevel architecture for cognitive surveillance purposes; (ii) the proposal of a coherent taxonomy of knowledge to guide the process of interpretation, which leads to the conception of a situation-based ontology; (iii) the use of situational analysis for content detection and a progressive interpretation of semantically rich scenes, by managing incomplete or uncertain knowledge, and (iv) the use of such an ontological background to enable multilingual capabilities and advanced end-user interfaces. Experimental results are provided to show the feasibility of the proposed approach. | ||||
